A Fresh Breeze in Water Treatment – Where is the Journey Going on?

For quite some time, a new breeze has been blowing among the water industry in Germany. This originated by various new regulations, in particular by the Federal Immission Control Act (42nd BImSchV), the new Biocidal Products Regulation and the VDI- or VDMA guidelines for cooling water treatment.

New Rules – New Opportunities

New regulations, especially concerning legionella, often lead initially to an unpleasant feeling. However, an alternative positive point of view is possible.

The 3rd International MerWaterDays focus on strategies that show how to benefit from this fresh breeze and ultimately achieve significant economic benefits.
Here partners of cooling towers, reverse osmosis, pool and domestic appliances will discuss solutions dealing with this new situation.

Exemplary for us has been Paracelsus, who raised targeted questions about 500 years ago. These questions can still help us to solve current problems.
During the conference, the parallels between the minimization of medicines as introduced by Paracelsus and the ever-increasing need for minimization of chemicals in the field of water treatment will be demonstrated.

Technical Experience

Central to this international symposium is the discussion on how water treatment will be shaped in the future and what role new technologies will play in this context.

In addition to large-scale industrial applications such as power and membrane plants, also innovative ideas for everyday household applications – including shower, coffee machine, flower pouring, dishwasher and washing machine – will be presented. Of course, pool water treatment will be considered as well.

Interested conference participants can sign up for an exclusive visit at UNIPER Power Plant Schkopau (Germany). Here the latest and highly advanced water treatment technique will be shown in large format.
